This is to inform you that a bill from Tata indicom broadband has been delivered to me at my residence, which asks me to pay Rs. 1180/- to my account no XXXXXXX.Bill no: XXXXXXXXXX.
User Name: XXXXXXXX
It so happens that 3 months after applying for the connection from Tata indicom, I have not yet received the connection at my home. So do you expect me to still pay for a service which I have not received?
It is very unfortunate that after three months of asking for (and having already paid the installation charges for) the connection at Tata Indicom, I have still not been connected. It is downright atrocious to see, now, that you expect me to pay for the connection that I have never got.
Please do take back the connection (including the modem etc) from my place, and pay me back the initial installation charges (of Rs. 551/-) that I have already paid you. It has been a very sad and unfortunate association with your organization.

Hey, I hope you really did mail a letter to the concerned people. (Also, mailing a copy to a newspaper would help caution prospective customers.) If they do not respond, you can go to the consumer forum and file a case; justice will be served. I know of a family member who filed a case against another ISP and the company ended up providing free internet for a year after that.
It is sad that while we think it's only goverment organisations that lack professionalism, companies like TATA too show similar apathy.
double-billed to get sth delivered half way around the world... and then getting an email saying "This particular item is out of stock" ...
i was out 550 bux .. and amused beyond anything else...

i have had my share of problems with tata too.. tired of complaining, i yanked off the connection and respectfully parcelled the dismantled piece.. with a nice lil note.

This sounds as tho u were working for them and they brainwashed u into believing something noble and u got disillusioned somewhere along the way.
Sorry for the point-by-point attack. The letter wasnt aggressive enough. Try BSNL's DataOne. It is working fine for me so far, touchwood!!!

I myself work for a Tata company and find this really disappointing that I am saying something bad about Tata Indicom but I have been let down way too often. I have had really bad experiences with Tata Indicom that you can read here
